The lobby display was a Nazi office, set atop of some carefully chosen newspaper articles from today's sources such as The New York Times. The articles reference the Arab Spring, the healthcare system question, nationalism, and - of course - the world-wide economic recession.
The display also caused some controversy, mainly over the use of the swastika flag, which can be seen even outside the theatre lobby. I stand by the choice to use the flag. It clearly shows what the display is about. It is is a bold image, and the juxtaposition of something we associate with hostility with something so mundane and innocent as an office space is powerful. A part of the display is to set a tone for the audience, to introduce them to this world, and the overbearing image of that flag certainly does just that.
