This is an (annotated) article from the introduction of one of my Brecht anthologies. It's about Fear and Misery in the Third Reich, and by association, Private Life. This has a little bit about what I'm going to be talking about tonight in it, particularly the argument about Brecht embracing a more realistic approach in Fear and Misery, with which I slightly disagree. Anyway, have a look. It's only two and a half pages; I'm only going to give you guys short articles, and you only have to read them if you're interested -- I know you are all very busy!
